Well-Child Policy

While we know your kid really wants to be at church and you really need a break, we also want to do our best to create a healthy environment for our kids and the workers. With that in mind, please note our Well-Child policy:

  • Kids will not be allowed to enter the children's ministry if they have any of the following:
    • fever of 100°or greater (must be fever-free without the use of medications for 24 hours prior to returning to a classroom)
    • vomiting, diarrhea, chills, sore throat, excessive runny nose, bad cough, rash, pink eye, or lice
  • Of course we know some kids have allergies or have been cleared by a doctor due to a non-contagious symptom. If you are in this circumstance, please advise the Children's Ministry Director or the Small Group Leader of the clearance.
Parent Rooms

In the back of our Worship Center you'll find the Quiet Corner.  This sound proof room lets you engage in the service, even with a chatty little one!  Private nursing rooms are also here with video feed of the service, a changing table and just quiet!

Special Needs

If your child has special needs and would like to participate in our Sunday Ministry, please contact Carolyn Kiddy to discuss needs and options.  We have an inclusive ministry and will do our best to work with you and your child.

Schedule

Each night consists of Bible lesson, prayer/discussion, games and fun. This gives us a chance to dig into God's word in a safe space where trusted adults can help us grow our faith. Occasionally an off-site event or service project will be planned and you will have to give specific permission to participate in that.

When Does CrossTraining Meet?

Thursday nights, 6:15-7:45pm

End of September-End of April

Register for 23-24 year

What do CrossTraining groups look like?
  • 50% Bible time, Discussion and Prayer
  • 50% Activity time
  • 8-12 kids per group
  • 2-3 SGLs (Small Group Leaders) per group
Why are small groups good for kids?
  • Small groups create a safe place for kids
  • Small group leaders have the time and ability to invest in the kids and build authentic relationships
  • Leaders can lead with authentic faith, encouraging kids in their spiritual walk also
Will CrossTraining Groups support parents?
  • YES!  We only have them for 1.5 hours during the week.  Parents are still the primary disciple-making force in a child's life.
  • Resources will be provided on how to engage kids in conversation about what they are learning
  • SGLs will be building relationships with parents as they drop off and pickup, or even other times as applicable, in order to support the family
  • Parents may be invited to assist occasionally with a group or activity, further plugging them into this faith community

Kid/Family Events

Camp Memorization Program

This is a yearly opportunity for kids to memorize scripture, take sermon notes in church and participate in KidzChurch with the added bonus of earning a scholarship toward an approved Christian summer camp. We hope this opportunity encourages kids to internalize scripture and build relationships with peers and adults who help them grow in their faith.
