What We Believe

Jesus

For God so loved the world...

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the very word of God, written, inerrant in the original writings, and therefore constitutes the supreme and final authority in the matters of faith and life.

Trinity

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, subsisting in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that these three are eternally co-existent and equal in essence and attributes, yet distinct in person, office, and activity.

Jesus

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future personal and visible return to the earth in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and that salvation is received only through faith in the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that this salvation is a gift of God, not depending in any way upon any merit which one might seek to achieve by his own works.

Church

We believe that the Church consists of all those who believe in Jesus Christ. This is the Church Universal, the Body of Christ. We believe that the local church is a body of believers in Christ, who are joined together for the purpose of worship, the mutual strengthening of one another in the Faith, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to all the earth.

We believe that Christ committed to the local church two ordinances: Believers Baptism, and the Lord's Supper (Communion).

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of the body, both of the believing and of the unbelieving; the believer having been redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ, to be forever with Him in glory; the unbeliever having died impenitent and un-reconciled to God, to be forever separated from the Lord.
