Kim Holet's Bio:

My Story

I came to know Christ at the age of 15 through a high school youth group. I really did not want to add “Jesus Freak” to my already awkward status of cubby, southern kid but as I got to know him more, Jesus was an irresistible influence in my life. I spent about a year asking all kinds of questions about God, the Bible and what was really involved in being a “Christ Follower”. Finally, one day, with my questions answered and aware of my need for Jesus, I surrendered my heart and life to Christ. It has been a great and difficult journey to follow Christ every day (some days my obedience is better than others) but I would not want any other life.

I married Eric, my best friend from college in 1998. We have two beautiful daughters together; Sydney and Olivia. I have lived in Buffalo since 1992 but am originally from North Carolina. I got my undergraduate degree from UB and my Masters degree from Liberty University. I love to curl up with a good book, laugh with my family, watch action adventure films (no chick flicks for me) and travel to new places.

My mission verse is Colossians 2:2-3: My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
